Principal’s Message

"When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts”.

(Dalai Lama)

Shemford Futuristic School aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all our students whom we value as gifted and talented are encouraged to explore their potential and achieve their personal best in all aspects of school life. Students will be challenged and engaged through authentic learning opportunities that inspire them to develop creativity, confidence and resilience to become independent and ethical life-long learners.

Our core values define everything that we do. These are imbibed by our staff through an intensive induction programme and a continuous orientation concerning them in their day-to-day activities. These core values of integrity, loyalty, commitment to excellence, openness, transparency, life-long learning, respect, compassion, a sense of responsibility and purpose towards our community guide our actions at school.

Our endeavour is to create global citizens who are agents of change. We believe in a style of leadership that evolves through love for fellow-beings and is action-oriented involving an inspiring passion for excellence. We encourage all the students coming from diverse cultural, religious and economic backgrounds and offer them a rich and rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum designed to inspire creativity and critical enquiry.

We support the individual wellbeing of our girls also and provide a school environment that allows them to thrive as they work towards achieving their personal best performance. We set high expectations for our girls and work hard to safeguard their positive emotions across our school community. We are partners in learning with our students and seek to deepen their knowledge, provide enriching and innovative learning experiences, while motivating our girls to attempt new challenges.

My very competent team of teachers strives to focus on each and every child, monitor and mentor them, appreciate their achievements and encourage them to overcome their shortcomings. I urge all the teachers to create appropriate, meaningful and participative learning situations, inculcating life skills in children and continue appreciating their smallest efforts with all generosity and broadness of vision. And as the cliché goes, last but not the least, I expect all of my young Shemford Stars to focus on their cherished goals and strive hard to accomplish them transcending mediocrity and procrastination.

God Bless ! Francis Xavier (Principal)
